Mr Jack Hughes
Postgradute
Jack received his Masters in Chemistry in 2017 from Manchester Metropolitan University. Authoring on a number of papers within this year allowed him to move on to become a research associate (funded by the EPSRC) focusing on the capabilities of additive manufacturing and screen printing as mass production techniques for PEM electrolysers. He then bridged the gap between academia and industry to become a KTP associate working on cost efficient membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for use within PEM electrolysers between Manchester Metropolitan University and the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC). Following this appointment, he transitioned fully into industry where he now works as an anion exchange membrane (AEM) fuel cell research scientist at AFC Energy. His paper output over these years has allowed him to carry out a PhD by published works at the University of Exeter.
